USDA Proposes Increased Assessment Rate for Processed Pears Grown in Oregon and Washington

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has proposed a rule to increase the assessment rate for processed pears grown in Oregon and Washington from $7.00 to $8.00 per ton, effective for the 2017-2018 fiscal period and beyond, to fund marketing order expenses.
