IRS Issues Final Regulations on Section 501(c)(4) Notification Requirement

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released final regulations requiring organizations classified as Section 501(c)(4) social welfare organizations to notify the agency within 60 days of their establishment, as mandated by the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 (PATH Act), enacted on December 18, 2015.
