Airbus Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for A320 Family Aircraft

Airbus is proposing a new airworthiness directive to replace the existing AD 2014-14-06, which requires inspections of aft engine mount retainers for surface finish, cracks, and failure, and replacement if necessary. The new directive would require repetitive inspections for damage, cracks, and missing aft engine mount retainers to prevent loss of the locking feature of the nuts of the inner and outer pins.
