Federal Moratorium Declared on American Eel Fishing in Delaware

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has imposed a federal moratorium on fishing, possession, and landing of American eel in Delaware due to the state's failure to comply with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Interstate Fishery Management Plan for American Eel, effective March 18, 2016.
