EPA Approves Kentucky's Lead NAAQS Implementation Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized the approval of Kentucky's plan to implement the 2008 Lead national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), which is a requirement under the Clean Air Act (CAA). The plan, submitted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Energy and Environment Cabinet, Department for Environmental Protection, through the Kentucky Division for Air Quality (KY DAQ), ensures the state meets the necessary infrastructure elements for the 2008 Lead NAAQS.
