EPA Grants Exemption for Trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene in Pesticide Formulations
Summary
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted an exemption to Honeywell International, Inc. for the use of trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene as an inert ingredient in pesticide formulations applied to crops, raw agricultural commodities, and animals, as well as in antimicrobial solutions for food-contact surface sanitizing. The exemption eliminates the need for a maximum permissible level for residues of the chemical.
