Federal Highway Authority Designates Primary Freight Network, Proposes Multimodal System

The US Department of Transportation has finalized the Primary Freight Network, a highway-only designation that fails to meet the requirements of a complex multimodal system, and concurrently proposes a comprehensive Multimodal Freight Network to address the growing volume of bulk and high-value goods in the US.
