HUD Announces Fee for Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program to Offset Credit Subsidy Costs

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will start charging borrowers a fee for loans guaranteed under the Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program, which was authorized by the Continuing Appropriations Act of 2016. This fee is intended to cover the costs of the credit subsidy provided by HUD for these loans.
