Boeing Model 787-9 Airplane to Feature Structure-Mounted Airbags

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued special conditions for the Boeing Model 787-9 airplane, which will be equipped with airbags mounted to the structure to prevent serious injury, a design feature not currently addressed by airworthiness regulations.
