Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement for Navy Atlantic Fleet Training and Testing

The US Department of the Navy has announced its intention to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to assess the potential environmental effects of its military readiness activities in the Atlantic Fleet Training and Testing (AFTT) Study Area, which spans approximately 2.6 million square nautical miles of ocean area along the eastern coast of North America, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico.
