Medicare Program; CY 2016 Inpatient Hospital Deductible and Hospital and Extended Care Services Coinsurance Amounts

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the inpatient hospital deductible and coinsurance amounts for Medicare beneficiaries in calendar year 2016, as mandated by the Medicare statute. For CY 2016, Medicare Part A beneficiaries will face a deductible of $1,288 and coinsurance rates of $322 per day for days 61-90, $644 per day for lifetime reserve days, and $161 per day for extended care services days 21-100.
