EPA Approves Latest California EMFAC Motor Vehicle Emission Factor Model for State Use

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved and made available the latest version of the California EMFAC (Environmental Emission Factor Model) for use in state implementation plan (SIP) development and transportation conformity in California, starting from a specified date. This update to the EMFAC model, which is based on new and improved data, will be used by California state and local governments to meet Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements.
