U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Amendment to Spent Fuel Storage Regulations for Holtec International HI-STORM 100 Cask System

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to update its regulations for storing spent nuclear fuel by revising the Holtec International HI-STORM 100 Cask System listing to include Amendment No. 9, Revision 1, which makes changes to cooling time limits, testing requirements, and fuel definitions for certain types of nuclear reactors.
