U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Changes to Nuclear Power Plant Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to update its regulations to allow nuclear power plant licensees to use alternative engineering standards, as approved by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), for the construction and maintenance of nuclear power plant components.
