NRC Grants Exemption to South Carolina Electric and Gas for Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to South Carolina Electric and Gas (SCE&G) to exclude certain Tier 2* information from the generic design control document (DCD) for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS), Units 2 and 3, allowing the licensee to proceed with the amendment to its Combined Licenses (COLs) issued for the facility's construction and operation.
