Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. Seeks Exemption from Onsite Insurance Requirement

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. an exemption from maintaining a minimum level of onsite property damage insurance, allowing the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station to reduce its insurance coverage from $1.06 billion to $50 million, following a request submitted on April 17, 2014.
