US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Station Design Changes
The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company to make design changes to the Main Control Room Emergency Habitability System at the Vogtle Electric Generating Station Units 3 and 4, allowing for a departure from certification information and issuing a license amendment.
