U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption to Vogtle Electric Generating Station

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (SNC) to withhold certain Tier 2* information from the generic design control document (DCD) for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 3 and 4, allowing the licensee to proceed with the construction and operation of the plant.
