NRC Considers Amendment to Duke Energy Progress' Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant License

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering an amendment to the operating license of Duke Energy Progress, Inc.'s Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, which would revise the plant's technical specifications to relocate surveillance frequencies to a licensee-controlled program. The proposed change also introduces a new Surveillance Frequency Control Program to the plant's administrative controls.
