NRC Proposes Amendment to Holtec International Spent Fuel Storage Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to update its regulations for spent fuel storage by adding Amendment No. 2 to the Holtec International HI-STORM Flood/Wind Multipurpose Canister Storage System, which includes new fuel types and criticality calculations, and revises existing fuel type descriptions and guidelines.
