Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. Receives NRC Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Upgrades

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. to deviate from the certification requirements of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant's (VEGP) Tier 1 design control document, allowing for the implementation of changes to the plant's systems.
