NRC Withdraws 1973 Document on Statistical Terminology for Special Nuclear Materials

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is withdrawing its 1973 document RG 5.3, 'Statistical Terminology and Notation for Special Nuclear Materials Control and Accountability,' due to the lack of need for regulatory guidance on common statistical terminology and notation, as well as the document's outdated ANSI standard and the obsolescence of the term 'limits of error'.
