IP5 Offices Launch Third Pilot Project for Collaborative Search and Examination Under PCT

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the European Patent Office (EPO), the Japan Patent Office (JPO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), and the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (SIPO) are launching a pilot project to test Collaborative Search and Examination (CS&E) under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). This is the third pilot, following previous ones in 2010 and 2011-2012, with the goal of assessing user interest and efficiency gains for the IP5 Offices.
