FERC Proposes Rule Requiring RTOs and ISOs to Disclose Connected Entities
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is proposing a new rule that would require regional transmission organizations (RTOs) and independent system operators (ISOs) to electronically disclose data about their market participants and their connected entities, which include entities with ownership, employment, debt, or contractual relationships to the market participants. This initiative aims to help detect market manipulation and assist in investigations of potential cross-market manipulation.
