FCC Amends Rules to Enable Vehicular Repeater Systems

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has implemented changes to its rules governing the use of vehicular repeater units (VRS) on six remote control and telemetry channels in the VHF band, allowing for the licensing and operation of these systems and revising technical rules to balance VRS use with protection for incumbent telemetry users.
