FCC to Consider Rulemaking Proposals for Wireless Text Communication and Emergency Alert Systems

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will consider two rulemaking proposals: one to transition from TTY technology to real-time text communication over wireless networks, and another to enhance the Emergency Alert System (EAS) for community emergency preparedness.
