NMFS Preliminarily Approves EFP Application from University of New England for Spiny Dogfish Research

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Northeast Region, NMFS, has made a preliminary determination that an Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) application from the University of New England (UNE) is complete and warrants further consideration. The EFP would allow three commercial fishing vessels to catch spiny dogfish during Federal quota closures in support of a study on their reproductive biology.
