NMFS Amends Magnuson-Stevens Act Provisions for Fishing Capacity Reduction Framework

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has updated the regulations for implementing fishing capacity reduction programs, aimed at reducing the number of vessels in a fishery, increasing economic efficiency, and conserving fishery resources, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act of 2007.
