FDA Launches Critical to Quality Pilot Program for Medical Device Manufacturers

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is launching a pilot program to evaluate the quality of medical devices before they are approved for sale, allowing manufacturers to opt out of traditional pre-approval inspections in exchange for implementing quality controls.
