FDA Clears SPECTAZOLE Topical Cream for Sale

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has ruled that SPECTAZOLE (econazole nitrate) topical cream, 1%, was not withdrawn from the market due to safety or efficacy concerns, allowing it to remain on sale and continue to be approved for use in abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs).
