FDA Proposes Reclassification of Sharps Needle Destruction Device to Class II

The FDA is proposing to reclassify the sharps needle destruction device from Class III to Class II, subject to premarket notification, to reduce regulatory burdens on industry and allow for less burdensome premarket notification submissions.
