FDA Clears METICORTEN Tablets for Sale, Citing Lack of Safety or Effectiveness Concerns

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made a determination that METICORTEN (prednisone) tablets, 1 milligram and 5 milligram, were not withdrawn from sale due to concerns over their safety or effectiveness, allowing the agency to continue approving abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs) for the product.
