U.S. Navy Requests Authorization to Take Marine Mammals in Gulf of Alaska for Military Training

The U.S. Navy has requested authorization from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to take marine mammals in the Gulf of Alaska Temporary Maritime Activities Area (TMAA) for military training activities from December 2010 to December 2015, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).
