Modernized Drawback Regulations Proposed by CBP
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is proposing to modernize its drawback regulations, as mandated by the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 (TFTEA). The proposed changes aim to simplify the process, reduce recordkeeping requirements, and introduce electronic filing for drawback claims, allowing importers to choose between the existing and new processes during a transition period.
