EPA Proposes Approval of Arizona Air Quality Implementation Plan Revision for Apache Generating Station

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the Arizona State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the Apache Generating Station, which would establish an alternative to best available retrofit technology (BART) for Steam Units 2 and 3, and revise the emission limit for nitrogen oxides (NO X ) for Steam Unit 1 when operated in combined-cycle mode.
