US EPA Exempts Tetraacetylethylenediamine and Its Metabolite from Tolerance Requirements for Rice and Strawberries
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED) and its metabolite, diacetylethylenediamine (DAED), when used as a fungicide and bactericide on rice and strawberries, eliminating the need for a maximum permissible level under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA).
