FMCSA Issues Regulatory Guidance on Language Requirement for Drivers Who Don't Meet Hearing Standard

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has issued guidance clarifying that drivers who are deaf or hard of hearing but can read and write in English can still operate commercial vehicles in interstate commerce, despite not meeting the agency's hearing standard.
