FMCSA Requests Public Comment on Exemption for Truckmovers' Use of Plastic Blocks in Driveaway-Towaway Operations

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is seeking public comment on an application by Dealers Choice Truckaway System, Inc. (Truckmovers) to temporarily exempt itself from regulations requiring the use of hardwood blocks to support the weight of towed vehicles during driveaway-towaway operations, in favor of using ultra-high molecular polyethylene plastic blocks.
