FMCSA Finalizes Rule to Extend Emergency Relief Exemptions for Home Heating Shortages

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has adopted final amendments to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) to extend exemptions for motor carriers providing direct assistance in responding to emergency declarations related to residential heating fuel shortages, allowing for up to 2 additional 30-day periods without safety regulations.
