EPA Proposes Approval of Rhode Island's Air Quality Plan, Allows Decommissioning of Vapor Recovery Systems

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revised State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the State of Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, which includes amendments allowing gasoline dispensing facilities to decommission Stage II vapor recovery systems by December 25, 2013, and strengthening Stage I vapor recovery requirements.
