Airplane and Engine Certification Requirements in Supercooled Large Drop, Mixed Phase, and Ice Crystal Icing Conditions

The Federal Aviation Administration is updating regulations to improve safety for transport category airplanes and engines by addressing supercooled large drop, mixed phase, and ice crystal icing conditions. The changes will apply to transport category airplanes and turbojet, turbofan, and turboprop engines.
