DOT Announces Availability of Guidance on Accelerated Decisionmaking in Environmental Reviews
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has released new guidance on accelerating environmental review processes, eliminating a 30-day wait period between the release of Draft Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Record of Decisions (ROD). The guidance, which builds on previous interim guidance from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA), is now available at http://www.dot.gov/office-policy/transportation-policy/guidance-accelerated-decision-making-environmental-reviews.
