Lockheed Martin Revises Airworthiness Directive for L-1011 Series Airplanes

The company is revising an earlier proposed airworthiness directive to reduce the compliance time and add inspections for cracking of certain aft fuselage skin panels, as well as a post-modification inspection program, to address widespread fatigue damage in the fittings at stringer attachments to the upper region of the aft pressure bulkhead.
