California Air Resources Board Requests EPA Confirmation on OBD II Amendments

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has notified the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that it has adopted amendments to regulations governing the Malfunction and Diagnostic System Requirements for vehicles and engines, and is seeking EPA confirmation that these amendments fall within the scope of a previously granted waiver. The amendments were adopted through rulemakings in 1997, 2003, 2007, and 2010, and 2012 and 2013.
