Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Sikorsky Model 269D Helicopters

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is proposing a new airworthiness directive to reduce the life limit of the ring gear carrier assembly in its Model 269D and Model 269D Configuration A helicopters, following reports of cracks in the assembly, in order to prevent failure of the main rotor transmission and loss of control of the helicopter.
