FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company Withdraws Application for Beaver Valley Power Station Unit 1

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company's request to cancel its 2013 application for a proposed license amendment at the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit 1, allowing the use of alternative fracture toughness requirements instead of the standard requirements.
