U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Grants Exemption for Vogtle Electric Generating Station

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, allowing a departure from the certification information of Tier 1 of the generic design control document for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Units 3 and 4, which are currently under construction in Georgia.
