NRC Issues Director's Decision on Petition from Environmental Groups

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has made a decision regarding a petition filed by environmental groups to take action against three nuclear power plants: James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant, Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, and Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station. The petitioners, including the Alliance for a Green Economy and Citizens Awareness Network, requested the NRC to take action in response to concerns about the plants.
