DoD, GSA, and NASA Issue Final Rule on Payment of Subcontractors

The Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have issued a final rule to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in accordance with the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, which mandates that contractors notify the contracting officer in writing if they pay a reduced price to a small business subcontractor or if payment to a small business subcontractor is more than 90 days past due.
