FHFA Proposes Rule for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Housing Goals for 2018-2020

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) is seeking public comment on proposed housing goals for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the Enterprises) for 2018 through 2020, as required by the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992. The proposed rule aims to establish benchmark levels for each housing goal and subgoal during this period, while also making clarifying and conforming changes to the Enterprises' housing plans.
